I absolutely love the child's plate. The portion is perfect. I always get the sliced brisket, fried okra, and potato salad. It comes with buttery toast, pickles, onions, and the best bbq sauce around!

The food was really delicious. The brisket was juicy and tender and the turkey was on point. The cole slaw and green beans were excellent. The tea was the best option to drink. And the staff was knowledgeable and excellent.

One of my favorite places to eat in this town! It was the first restaurant I ever came to in Glen Rose and it has gotten better and better each time I visit. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is fun, and the staff and owners are so friendly. Thank you Hammond's BBQ!

The brisket is always tender and moist, and they'll accommodate requests for a leaner or "moister" cut off you'd like. Pair it with the most excellent fried okra and waffle sweet potato fries you've ever had, but try to save room for the perfect end to a Texas Barbque dinner: cobbler! We're partial to the blackberry, but they are all yummy and of course a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Get a togo cup for your quenching ice tea! In addition to all of this, this family and staff are amazing to this community. All anyone from Glen Rose about their Thanksgiving Dinner and you'll see why.
